Sister Claire Rodrigue Scholarship Program

In 1986, several civic- minded supporters of Catholic education were inspired to develop a tuition assistance program for families of the South Lafourche community who may not have the resources to attend Holy Rosary Catholic School. The brainchild of John Brady, Jr. developed into what is known today as Friends of the Rosary.

Each Spring, Friends of the Rosary holds an elaborate dinner and auction as a fundraiser at the school. Benefactors from the community come to support this worthy cause.

Over the years, Friends of the Rosary has given nearly one million dollars in tuition assistance.

Today, the tuition program is called the Sister Claire Rodrigue Scholarship Program, after the woman who dedicated her life to God and our school.

Funding Process

Funds are distributed to the children of the applicant who qualifies for the scholarship for exclusive use for tuition assistance at  HRCS.

Tuition assistance varies according to the needs of the applicant.

No applicant will receive the entire tuition of HRCS. It is the belief of Friends of the Rosary that each applicant should make an effort to pay a portion of tuition to identify their commitment to Holy Rosary Catholic School.

All information regarding Friends of the Rosary is held in the most confidential manner. Friends of the Rosary and HRCS hold a No Disclosure policy.
